History Health Digital Systems was founded in 2003 by a visionary group of Mexican entrepreneurs who detected a great opportunity to support the health sector providing it with solutions that enable more efficient medical practice. Initially developed a series of applications that allowed the first customers to systematize their medical conditions largely eliminating the use of paper and re-processes in hospitals and medical clinics. In 2006, HDS applied for the national award CONACYT technological merit, by virtue of its technological tools that have made an unprecedented number of innovations in medical administrative processes. From that year HDS began to implement its services in the state of Veracruz, the Federal People's Insurance and a number of private hospitals. The solution implemented by HDS in the state of Veracruz earned the latter to win the national award CIAPEM Award (Committee of Informatics, State and Municipal Public Administration), this award is presented to the states or municipalities that have innovated in transcendent form in the public sector. In 2008, HDS, together with a group of international consultants participated actively in the draft Mexican Official Standard NOM-024-SSA1998 same that govern the necessary elements for the exchange of information and variables needed for electronic medical records. That same year began the expansion of HDS to South America, with Colombia the first country to implement solutions for hospitals and health administration. Deriving its success, began the regionalization of the products and the subsequent implementation of an office in Ecuador. In 2008, HDS began implementation in the state of Campeche, in addition to signing in conjunction with the UAEM-ISEM, the governor of Mexico State and Federal Health Ministry, an agreement to develop the interoperability of medical records to national level.
